My favourite outlet for seeing great animation is getting a festival pass to the animation festival and seeing hundreds of animations over a week and meeting, eating and drinking with other animators.
I actually saw waking life and didn't like it that much.
the others are added though.
As for animated shorts, that's for another time I guess ( it'll probably be EVEN MORE time consuming)

I noticed that the The Triplets of Belleville is not on this list! I recommend it if you're interested. It's a little obscure, but it has a DVD. Good movie watching!
